By Telegraph.— Association,— THE MAIL ROBBERY. (Received August 24, 10.5 p.m.) Sydney, August 24. The police have found on the railwaj between Blayney and Bathurs't a number of registered envelopes and unopened private letters, and others torn up. These were part of the proceeds of the mail robbery. One envelope contained a postal order for £5. A NEW ZEALANDER'S INVENTION. j (Received August 21, 10.5 p.m.) Sydney, August 24. At the Town Hall organ recital to-day, Lho city organist tried with success tie new mechanical music-turning device invented by Mr. Budge, a New Zealander.. STATE BRICKWORKS. Melbourne, August 24. The Victorian Legislative Council has, struck out of the Revenue Bill a vote- for the establishing of State brickworks. The As-; sembly has refused to accept the amende ment. [The State brickworks are to be established, because a ring bad been formed of bricks makers in Melbourne to maintain prices aX 40s a 1000 and over. Mr. Bent bought 30 acres of land in the suburbs, and asked for a vote of about £9000 to purchase a brickmaking plant, and shirt the works. Tht Government has a tender to supply bricksusing the State yard and plant—at 25s pei 1000.]
