EIGHTEEN LIVES LOST. By Telegraph—Press Association.— Copyright. (Received August 25, 1.7 a.m.) London, August 24. Advices from Buenos Ayres state that the British barque Biclston Hill, bound from Hamburg for San Francisco, has foundered in the South' Atlantic. The second officer and 17 of the crew were drowned. The survivors are expected to arrive at Buenos Ayres shortly. The Bidston Hill was an iron four-masted barque of the following dimensions: Length, 601.4 ft; breadth. 42.1tt; depth, 24.7 ft; tonnage, 2519. She was built at Liverpool in 1886, and was owned by W. Price and Co., of. Liverpool. She sailed from Hamburg for San Francisco on .May 19 last.
