ACCIDENT IN EXCHANGE LANE.
ELDERLY MAX SERIOUSLY
INJUR
An elderly man named R. S. Sinclair met with a very serious accident shortly after five o'clock last evening. Hearing a noise like some one falling down the stairs of the building. Mr. Clarence Waterman and Mr. Noel On'ram, who have offices in Exchange Lane, off Queen-street, went to see what was the matter. On. looking over the bannisters they saw Mr. Sinclair lying at the, foot of the stairs, and upon going to his assistance found that he was unconscious, and was bleeding from the nose. Constable
Murray was called in, and he had the injured man removed to the hospital. Upon a surgical examination being made, it was found that Mr. Sinclair had sustained a, fracture of the base of the skull and severe concussion of the brain. IT" was in a very serious condition. It is staled that the injured man resided in Grey-street, but so far the police have been unable to ascertain positively,
At a late hour list evening Mr. Sinclair bad not regained consciousness, and his condition had not improved.
