Wellington, Thursday. Mr. Justice Cooper to-day decided m the case, Carmody v. Barlow, an appeal again the decision of the magistrate at em , tfspiissing a charge against al m shooting Paradise ducks, that the api must be upheld, and Barlow was convicted. His Honor held that indigenous birds, wine come within the definition of native o am , could be protected by proclamation uncle section 3 of the Act of 1886.
