HELPING HAND MISSION.

The Helping Hand Mission meetings on Sunday were well attended. Tho missioner preached in the morning. An open air meeting with the brass band wai held in Victoria-street, near the corner of Hobson-street. . A large audience greeted Dr. Watson iD the evening, and listened to. a remarkably able sermon on " The Cities of Refuge." The singing was of the usual bright and hearty character.

NATIONAL SINGLE-TAX LEAGUE. On the invitation of the National Single Tax League. Mr. George Wilks, of Tamaki, addressed about, a score of people in tho basement of the Foresters' Hall 'ast night on the land question. The speaker was listened to with interest.
