Wathi, Tuesday. A vert large quantity of produce, etc., is now . being convoyed over the railway line to Waikino, and from there it is carte*! to Wailii.
Father Brodie lias received a letter from Father Hays, temperance lecturer,' stating that he will be unable to visit Waihi owing to. the fact that the time of his New Zealand tour has almost expired.
The Ohinemuri County Council are rapidly repairing the Waihi.Waikino Road, and though the newly-metalled road is very heavy for traffic just now, it should be in splendid condition by the end of the winter. At- the quarterly meeting of the Ancient Order of Foresters .last night the balancesheet showed a credit balance of £101 Is 3d. An effort is being made to induce other friendly societies to hold a united friendly societies' ball.
