Cray and Robert Peattie have been nominated. CuniSTOHrRCH, Monday.' ■ Mr. Clarkson, a candidate for the Avon seat, addressed a meeting of electors tonight. He expressed himself as opposed to the present party system. He favoured an elective Executive, the referendum, and generally followed the policy of the new progressive Liberal. party. He stated he would support Mr. Seddon so long as the Premier's measures agreed' with his (the speaker's) views. He would certainly oppose Mr. Massey and the old Conservative pwty. He was accorded a vote of thanks..
