BUTTER EXPORT FREIGHTS.

Veen A»*ociation.—Copyright, MEtBOUBXE, May 9, Tin: shippers of butter in Victoria have entered into a contract with the White Star, Aberdeen, ami Lund lines, for the carriage of butter to England, at gel per lb. The contract is for three years trora October next. It provides that the companies shall arrange, tor the sailing of 26 steamers between October and the end of March, and at least three steamers each month between April and .September.
This new contract is (lie outcome of the Royal Commission into the butter industry. The Commissioners advised that a reduced freight should be obtained.
