THE LAND COMMISSION.
TO THE KDITOK. Sir, Being a holder of land under leas© in perpetuity I consider that the option of getting the freehold should be given to tenants, as otherwise this colony will become like Scotland —a good place to live out of. I am strongly of opinion that it is farcical to give, evidence before this Land Commission, as their report is a foregone conclusion, they having to act as their master (Mr. Seddon) tells them. I have been a workingman all my life, and having with economy and sobriety saved up a bit of money, I was foolish enough to take up this lease. I onlj wish those idiotic land nationalises could be forced to take up those leasee likewise and they would soon alter their opinions; but no, they want the other fellow to do all the hard graft foiless than nothing. I have lost all my rao«*r Wing to cultivate this hungry gum ai:A.-I »■••.. etc., A Crown Texaxt.
