HOCKEY.
The annual general meeting of the Auckland Hockey Association will be held on Friday evening next at the Amateur Sports Club rooms. The, report to be 'presented shows a very successful yea., the season of 190+ starting with ar increase of 50 members ovei the number of the previous season, while five senior and eight junior teams competed. Font representative matches were played, and all were won. the team scoring a total of 21 goals against the two goals scored by their opponents. The association expresses thanks'for' outside support received, a handsome silver tup having been presented (Sy Mr. Moss Davis and a set of hockeys by several Auckland gentlemen for the winners of the senior championship. Matters look very bright for the incoming hockey season, and the credit balance in the hands of the association's treasurer will no doubt be increased by the proceeds of the North v. South Island match to be played here.
