AN INCIPIENT FIRE.

Dunedin, Tuesday. Some excitement was caused to-night by the vigorous and prolonged ringing of the alarm bell in connection with the Grinned sprinkler in Messrs. Sargood, Son, aud Ewen's warehouse. Members of the fire brigade had a. difficulty in finding tire fire owing to th« thick, and almost overpowering, smoke, but finally found it among some waste paper and rubbish under the main entrance steps. The damage was very slight.
