GUN CLUB ASSOCIATION.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Blenheim, "Wednesday. The annual £100 match of the Marlborough Gun Club was fired off in good weather. Out of 12 competitors five tied, these being A. Rore, Broderick, Hamilton Redwood, H. Cheeseman, and J. Graham. They took £15 each, and shot oft for £15, 11. Cheeseman winning. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Gun Club Association was held to-night. The. report stated that the number of clubs affiliated was now 52, comprising all the clubs in New Zealand. The credit balance was £20. Reference was made, to the large. number of ties in open handicap matches, and the committee pointed out that, in view of the fact that prominent shootisls were now declining to Tak& part in the mutches for ii small number of birds with double nominations, the club would do well to consider the advisableness of altering the programme to 14 or 20 birds matches, to be .shot straight out. Mr. T. M. Wilford was elected president for the ensuing year. The other officers were, elected as follows: — Vice-presidents, Messrs. J. H. Redwood (.Marlborough) and G. R. King (Hawke's Hay); committee, Messrs. J. Black (Dunedin), J. W. C'assin (Chrislchurch), C. H. Chavannes (Wanganui), W. H. Tisdall (Wellington), and Dr. Owen (Auckland); secretary and treasurer, Mr. N. von Stunner. It was resolved that the championship be held this year at Hawke's Bay on June 20. Rule 41, re boundaries, was altered to enable the clubs to fix their boundary at any distance under 60yds. A committee was .set up to consider tin question of sendiiv a team to Australia. °
