POLO TOURNAMENT.

LBV TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDED. J Hamilton, Wednesday. The Auckland Provincial Association tournament opened this afternoon. The first match was between Remuera and Hamilton. Remuera proved too good for the local men, and won by eight to five. For the winners Meredith scored four, Gorrie two, and Nolan and Jackson one each. For Hamiland Casey scored two, McXicol two, and Hume one. The otlie- match was between Auckland and VVaingaro. The game proved a most exciting content, and at lie fifth spell the- scores were even—three all. In the concluding spell Auckland got two more goals, thus whining by five to three. Baker scored three and Pittar and Clarke one. each. For. Waangaro Dawson scored two and Allen one. The- tournament will be continued tomorrow.
