ADULTERATED BUTTER.

HOLLAND.

Loudon, April 4. It has been discovered that large quantities of colonial butter are being shipped to Holland, where it is mixed with about 50 per cent, of a new adulterant, which hitherto lias not been detected by analysis. The butter is then reshipped to England, where it is sold as Dutch at a profit of 30s per cwt.
The officials of the Board of Agriculture are inquiring into the- matter.
