The financial statement showed a small balance. The following officers were elected:—Secretary acot; treasurer, Mr. J. Myles; captain,' Mr. A. Hiß«' ton; vice-captain, Mr. W. Wilson; delegate -Jf! to union, Messrs. Lockie and Ennis. CAMBRIDGE. A MEETING of the committer of the Cam* bridge Chrysanthemum Society was held ye*» terday afternoon, there being present: Messrs. H. Vandyke, E. Veale, T. Low, A. F. Stones - § M. P. McDermott, and F. O'Toole.. . The pre* sitlent (Dr: Roberts) being absent. Mr. McDermot* was voted to the chair. Tho date ot the next show was fixed for April 23 and 29, Messrs. T. Whitley and D. Hay were appointed judges, and Messrs. Price, Orr, and! Forbes stewards. It was decided to engage the Cambridge orchestra and the brass band for the occasion, and that Mr. A. Wilkinson "-4. have charge of the lighting arrangements. Mr. 1. Welts was appointed to supervise th.3 decorations ami to arrange for afternoon, tea. Entries will close with thr. secretary (Mr, Veale)' on the 22nd inst. Mr. McDormott and the secretary were deputed to arrange for k i tents and the root show. In the latter conv ;\ nection Messrs. J, Forrest, E. Fisher, and A, F. Stone are to be consulted. '■ ' WAIHI." '•';" '"; ; ;~. at the annual meeting of the Oity Football Club the secretary read the balance-sheet for '~ >' last season, which showed a credit balance of £3 163. an increase of £1 12s on the previous season. It was resolved that the balance-sheet as submitted be received. Mr., . U. E. Ilea tendered his resignation as secretary and treasurer of the club. Mr. Eea'a resignation was accepted with regret, and a ' hearty vote or* thanks was accorded him for. his valuable services to the clnb fov the pas*} two years.
