Alien, Weslcyan senior chaplain, to apply to the Admiralty for permission for Methodist ministers, re-! $| cognised by the Admiralty, to conduct divine service on board warships when in New Zea- ■ .? Lund waters; further, that the Rev. J. A. Lu.-ford be appointed by the Admiralty »■» naval chaplain for the whole of Now Zealand, and an officiating minister for each of the ports visited by H.M. warships. The Rev. J. J. Lewis, secretary of th» :: home mission, presented the annua 1 balancesheet. The estimated income fur 1305 is : J £2738, expenditure £2421. Last year there was a considerable increase in incoin? over assessments. This year it is hepid that a special retiring home mission collection v.ill be taken up, in order to liquidate the increased deficit. It was agreed to permit of special appeal being made throughout the *%\ < colony on behalf of the building fund for a ohurch at Rotorua, Mr. S. W. Allen to be the treasurer.
