'■■":.■-■- , Issued pursuant to the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1901, and the Waipori Falls Electric Power Act, 1904.' . The Dunedin City Council invites Tenders for the Purchase of Five Hundred and Eighteen (518) One Hundred Pounds (£100) Debentures, being the estimated amount required for the Purchase and Completion of the Waipori Falls Hydraulic Power Scheme. The Debentures will bear interest at the rate of £4 10s per £100 per annum, payable half-yearly. The currency of the Loan wilL bo to the first day of March, 1922. PRINCIPAL AND INTEREST may be made payable in London. Melbourne, Sydney, or Duncdin, at the option of tho holders. The Loan will be secured on tho whole of the Electrical Works to be constructed for utilising the waters of the Waipori River for the purpose of generating electricity and supplying the same as motive power, and for lighting and other purposes, as. provided in the Waipori Falls Electric. Power Act, 1904, and being a debt payable by tho Corporation of the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Dunedin. No Tender below par or for less than £100 will Iks considered. Tenderers of tho lughest premium will have preference, and : to Tenderers of equal rates, Debentures will be allotted proportionately to tho number applied for. A deposit of £5 per £100 tendered for must accompany each-Tender, which will be credited to successful and returned to unsuccessful Tenderers. The balance will be required to be paid not later than the 28th day of, February, 19C5. Tenders addressed to 'His Worship the Mayor, and endorsed " Tender for Loan Debentures," will be received in the Town Clerk's Office.
