EGG LAYING COMPETITION.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—I>BESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Thursday. The Government has decided that the egglaying competition now being promoted by the _ Marlborough Poultry Breeders' Association is to bo carried out under the supervision of the poultry branch of the Department of Agriculture. CmusTCHUttcii, .Thursday. The New Zealand Utility Poultry Club decided to-night to accept the offer"of the Lincoln College Board of Governors, to arrange for holding the club's proposed egglaving competition at the college. A committee was elected to frame rules for the competition, with the view of starting at an early date. ■•
