London, January, 25. ~ While a women's work meeting was being held at : the Primitive Metho- ; dist Chapel at Blackpool ; those present became asphyxiated with Ore fumes from a charcoal stove. There were 30 women present. Only the accidental entrance of another worker prevented loss of life.
