OPERA HOUSE. FcT.LEn's Empire Company made their farewell appearance at the Opera House on Saturday night, when 1 the usual weekly change of programme was presented. There was a good attendance, and the programme submit led met with the approval of the audience. HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. At His Majesty's Theatre on Saturday night Mr. Ceo. Stephenson's Musical Comedy Company repeated "The? Skirt Dancer'.'' The large audience was kept laughing from start to finish, Messrs. Lauri ami Charles McNaughton being responsible for the greater part of the merriment. "The Skirt Dancer" will be repeated to-night and to-morrow night. On Wednesday evening next Mr. Stephenson will stage Edward Marrais' latest English success. "The Dandy Doctor.' This piece, which has been described as a musical cocktail of the most exhilarating order, 'is claimed to bo the funniest of tho company's repertoire. The parts are said to be admirably allotted, whilst Aueklanders will have an opportunity of seeing Miss Beatty in one of her favourite roles as Jane, the lady help. The play will be staged for three nights only, and a special bill is being arranged for the two farewell nights of the season. OLYMI'IA RINK. Judging from the appearance of the above place "of amusement, nuking has become the rage in Auckland as elsewhere. '"lie management having started with Hnuneas and discrimination in admitting patrons, everybody has come to' realise that nothing objectionable is permitted, and fall, in with the rules and regulations, and everything works smoothly. There was a large attendance on Saturday.
