The poll was as follows :- Viscount Tumour, 4386 Mr. Ers- - kine (Liberal), 3604. Mr. Balfour and Mr. Chamberlain telegraphed their congratulations to Viscount-Tumour. ■>; Viscount Tumour la only 21 years of kg*. At the general election Mr. Johnstone Was returnee! without opposition.
