The ' dispute led in 1901 to raids by Bedouin, tribes, at the instance of th Turkish Go-. ' vernment, which were met and fought .by, tribes friendly to the British. Turkey claimed that Koweyt came, under her nd-, ministration, C but. Great Britain refuted to allow the claim. The fighting between the tribe? has been frequent einoe 1901.
