SUDDEN DEATH AT THAMES.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN : CO-RESPONDENT.] i Thames,. Saturday, j A sudden death occurred this morning, > when Miss Kate ' MeLaughry, daughter of -■ Mr. -A. ? McLaughry, of ' Karaugahake, ; i took ? suddenly ~;•' ill while ', walking / along ' Mary-street, and on being taken into Mrs. j Cornell's . drapery , store, although every ' assistance possible was rendered, the; suf- ' ferer expired in a few minutes. Miss Mc- \ Laugbry had been staying at the Thames for the last three weeks, under medical , treatment, and, feeling better, it was her j intention to return home to-day, but, irn-, , fortunately, she took a fresh cold while j walking yesterday, which caused a relapse, , and resulted in her death. Dr. Laprail:, t who was ,her medical attendant, gives a { certificate that death was caused by failure i of the heart. - ; -; i
