EUROPEAN OPINION.
GERMANY SUPPORTING BRITAIN. I London/ October 27. It is recognised in Germany that there is justice in the demands of Britain. Amazement is expressed there at the dilatoriness of the Russian Government in acceding to the Eritish terms, and at the silence of Admiral Roshdestvenski. (Received October 28, 10,40 p.m.) The Kreuz Zeitung' says the situation is almost desperate. England must insist on exemplary punishment of the officers responsible. German military and naval opinion concurs that the Admiral's explana-; tion is criminally wanton and coldblooded. The German public is inclined to regard the outrage as almost deliberate. The Loealanzeiger declares that England is justified in demanding guarantees against a repetition of the attack. FRENCH OPINION AGAINST RUSSIA. London,. October 27. Public opinion in France is entirely averse to interference on behalf of Russia in the entanglement into which she has placed herself, Russia having been the aggressor. The Pall Mall Gazette says M. Cambon may be trusted to press upon France the necessity for convincing the Tsar that the British nation is in deadly earnest over the, latter.
