" Mr. ; Isidore Alexander, who is leaving Auckland on a visit to Australia and Europe on Monday next, was entertained by the menaßersi of the German Club on 'Wednesday evening last. Mr. Langguth presided, and during the evening presented - Mr. Alexander with a very handsome goldmounted walking-stick, with engravings of New Zealand birds, etc., as a mark of the esteem in which he is held by the members of the club. Mr. Alexander suitably replied, thanking the members for their present. A pleasant musical evening was enjoyed by those attending.
