EXPERIMENTAL "MARKING" OF SALMON.
The British Board of . Agriculture and Fisheries hav issued a statement that with a view to obtaining further information on the growth and migrations of salmon (including sea trout, salmon trout, peal, se'win, etc.). Rewards will be paid on the fallowing conditions, for the recovery oj fish bearing such labels or other marks," or for information respecting them. 1 reward of 3s, in addition to the market Villi of the fish, will be paid for each fish in marketable condition if delivered immediately (with label intact) either to the Beard of Agriculture and Fisheries or to one of the prisons named in a list published by the Board, together with a detailed Statement of the exact place, time, and method of capture. A reward if Is 6d will be paid foi each label taken from an unseasonable or unclean fish (or from a fish which foi any other reason it is not practicable to send) provided the label be sent to the offices of the Board, Delahay-6treet, vYestfliinstei, accompanied by full "particulars ot the weight, length, sex, and condition ol die fish, of the exact place, time, and method of capture, and of the manner in which if ivas disposed of. A reward if 6d will be paid for a label unaccompanied by particulars. The Board of Agriculture and Fisheries have prepared lists of persons in the south and west of England, in Wales and Monmouthshire, and in the North of England, Who ,rill receive marked fish.
