Oi the total tmount £275,000 is in respect of the following railways:—Kawakawa - Graham- ) town, Helcnsville Northwards, PaeroaWaihi, viisborne-Karaka, Egmout branch, Stratford-Kawakawa, Marton-Te Awamutu, -Blenheim-Waipara, Midland, Greymouth- . Hokitik.i (extension to Ross), NgahereBlackball, Otago Central, Heriot extension, Catlins-Seaward Bush, Riversdale-Switzers, and permanent way or othei materials. For ; additional rolling stock for open lines and . ■ such other works and purposes as may be auj • thori3ed, £75,000 is proposed to be expended.
