SHOOTING MATCH AT HAMILTON.
There was an excellent attendance at the Hamilton range on Saturday of the members of A Squadron, 2nd Regiment Auckland Mounted Rifles. Some of the crack shots <* the squadror were absent. The following •re the- stores made over 70. the possible win-? 105:—Lieutenant Melville, 200 yds 28, =00yds 34, 600 yds, 24: total, 86; Private LUohfield, 26, 27, 26: total, 79; Corporal Mason, 26,' 24, 26: total, 76. ■■' A meeting of the Shooting Committee was Acid subsequently, to arrange details for the ladies' and belt "competitions, tc take place on Wednesday next. It was decided that all numbers should bo allowed to fire for the wit, whether they had earned the capitation or not. In order to encourage the younger »nots it was decided to handicap for the other prize?, but cot for the belt.
