Field-Marshal Oyama reports that his investigations up to Saturday in the battle of Shaho show that the Japanese captured. 100 prisoners, 45 guns, 6974 shells, and 5474 rifles. Of Russian dead 10,550 had been found. "" The St., Petersburg correspondent of the Echo de Paris says that- 70 per cent, of the Russian sick and wounded re;oin the ranks within a fortnight. The wounds are slight unless abdominal. The copper-cased bullets used by the Japanese . reserves, however, inflict a dangerous wound.
