[BY TELEGRAPH.—rHESS ASSOCIATION,] Oamaru, Friday. At a meeting held under the auspices of the Oamaru Chamber of Commerce to discuss the provisions of the Shops and Offices Bill, a motion was carried favouring a universal Saturday half-holiday. Those who voted against 'the motion "for tho most part expressed themselves personally in favour of Saturday, but were afraid that the change was in advance of the wishes of factory employers and farmers.
