Chipman, general merchant, the liabilities!, were stated at £42,354, and assets subject to realisation £14,315. The estate has been assigned. A SCULLING MATCH. (Received September ,17, ,1.8 a.m.) Sydney, September 16. The sculling champion, George' Towns, has promised to row James Stonbury for the championship in March or April nest. The terms of the match have not been yet settled. FAMILY INCOME TAX EXEMPTIONS. Hobabt, September 16. In the Assembly the Ability Bill has passed the committee. Every man with an income below £100 receives £10 exemption in the income tax: assessment for each child, otherwise every male adult breadwinner contributes something to the revenue.
