MANURAU NAVIGATION.
A letter, received from the Marine Department, Wellington, with reference to the removal of the rocks in the Manukau Harbour, near the fourth buoy, was read at the Council meeting of the Chamber of Commerce yesterday. It was stated that the question of providing the necessary funds ior the work would be considered in connection with the Public Works Estimates. ; Thi* president (Mr. J. ileid) thought it was very satisfactory to the Chamber i;hat its representations in regard to Manukau navi:gator hitd borne such good fruit, '■■'".''■. Mr. Alfred Nathan suggested that a copy of the communication should be forwarded to each of the Auckland members of Parliament. Ii was decided that this should be done.
