DESECRATING A GRAVE.

Process Christian and her daughter Victoria, have landed at Capetown, with the intention of visiting, on the 22nd inst., the late Prince Christian Victory's grave at Pretoria. The authorities discovered yesterday that the grave had been dug into as far as the slab "covering of the coffin. '■■' ■''.--.■'•' •; ■■'■'.'> The desecrators apparently were then disturbed, and decamped. Messages from Pretoria attribute the outrage to a plot to remove the coffin to the mountains near Pretoria, and demand a ransom. ' '
j Prince Christian Victor died at Pretoria I of fever, on October 29, 1900, at the age of ! 32. He was a major in the D.rmy, and had ; previously sewed in Ashanti. Ho was the j son of Prince Christian of Sch!cswig-Hol- | stein. ' ' • "
