[BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] Ciiristciiurch, Wednesday. Mr. W. F. Massky, Leader of the Opposition, had a most cordial reception from scores of farmers in the K&iapoi and Hurunui electorates at the Itangiora markets yesterday, and expressed much pleasure at the many evidences of goodwill that he received. He was pressed to speak at Auaberley, in the Hurunui electorate, aud at Ilangiora, in the Ivaiapoi district, but his plans, so far as Canterbury is concerned, are as yet undetermined.
