The present issue of the Auckland Weekly News, now offered to the public, contains a largo number of striking and interesting pictures. One of the features is a series of views of the Russian warships after the famous naval battle of Chemulpho. They are from photographs specially scut from Co tea for publication in the Weekly News, and are the first photographs cf the Russo-Japa-nese war to appear in any New Zealand paper. Another interesting series of views shows the Antarctic exploration and relief ships entering Lyttelton Harbour, after their long absence in the polar regions. In depicting the grand military review at Devonport, which concluded the Easter manoeuvres of the Auckland volunteers, some good panoramic and group pictures are given. Tho Wellington Provincial Tennis Association's tournament provides a number of excellent views, as do the sports held by Nelson Brothers' employees at To moan a, Hawke's Bay. Some excellent scenic effects are given in the selection of Cold Lake, Westland, and Waikarcmoana views. Views at the Auckland Racing Club's Autumn Meeting, the Auckland Oddfellows' and the Yorkshire Societies' picnics, new views of the Waitakerei district, and Mount Egmont pictures, form a highly attractive pictorial supplement; while among the letterpress is the copyright description of the Antarctic exploration by Commander R. P. Scott, and much other valuable reading matter. This issue of the Weekly News is now before the public, and can be obtained from all agents and runners.
