On Thursday the Waheroa school picnic was held on Richmond Downs. The weather was splendid snd a largo assemblage appeared to etijoy themselves thoroughly. HAMILTON*. A little boy named Gordon Steele, of Hamilton East, fell from a tree on Saturday afternoon, with the result that his arm waj broken. The limb was set by Dr. Going and the patient subsequently taken to the Waik&to Hospital. The football season was Inaugurated on Saturday afternoon, when some 40 players assembled on Sydney Square. Sides were chosen, arid a good practice game played. An accident happened during the game Maguire, of Whatawhata, had the misfortune to have two of his fingers broken.
