VOLUNTEERING NEWS

The final competition for the Devonport Submarine Miners' challenge cup was fired at the Mount Eden range on Saturday. The weather was in favour of good shooting, and tho previous winner (Seaman J. H. Langley), who had established a lead of 10 points in the first competition this year, again increased his advantage by eight points from First-class Petty-offic pr Nelson, who shot well and finished second. Seaman Vazey, who did not tire in the -first competition, put on 70 points.
