GROCERS' MARKET QUOTATION'S. . *i"he following are the quotations for butter and eggs for the week ending April 16, fixed by the Dairy Produce Committee:—Factory butter, best brands, lQd and lid per lb; farmers', separator, or dairy make, first grades 6d, second grades s ; td ; eggs, Is 6ri. The committee add the following note: — Butter: Supplies are a little less, but quality is not up to the mark, speaking generally. The trade recognise that dairies of first-class butter, delivered in a first-class condition, in pate or rolls, are worth Id more, and quote 7d, but any butter not up to this standard, and such as can only be quit for pastry purposes, only command 6d and lower.
