TEE FARMERS' UNION.
[BY TELEGRAPH. CORRESPONDENT.] Chutstchtjbch, Saturday. At a recent meeting of the Farmers' Union it was pointed out by its secretary that as at present constituted the Farmers' Union could not join the Employers' Federation, as the union could not be cited. It might be necessary to appear as a corporate body before the Arbitration Court, and it might be well to consider the question of whether or not it would be advisable to form an association of employers only, so that they could register in South Canterbury. They had seceded from the union, although the colonial executive had not yet sanctioned the secession; and had formed an association of employers, which had been registered and could be cited. ■ . :% .■:.■•-.
