'Tits Defence Department lias cancelled the •order that camps be Held in the vicinity, of• Wellington toi the purpose of carrying/out- ' Easter manoeuvres. In reply..to. a petition. raiding war medals for returned New Zeulanders, late of irregular corps and other contingents, the War Office states that medals for men who served in the Prince of Wales' Light Horse 'were sent in September last to the general officer commanding ; troops at Cape Colony, to : whom application; should be made- It is assumed that medals : for other irregular corps, which were disbanded in Cape Colony, are also at that place.
