SUNDAY LIQUOR TRADING.
THE TRAPPING SYSTEM.
[by TELrfiR.-,pn.—press aksocutiow] Palmerston North, Monday. Isabella Smith, licensee of the Family Hotel, was to-day fined. £10 and her license endorsed, for Sunday trading. The liquor was obtained on December 17 by constables from Christchureh and Auckland, in private clothes, who, the defence alleged, represented themselves as boarders. Mr. Thomson, S.M., described tho case as a gross infringement of the law.
