CROWN LANDS BOARD.
A meeting of the Crown Lands Board was held yesterday. Present: Mr. G. Mueller (chairman), and Messrs. Harris and Renshaw.
T. and P. O'Connor were granted three months' extension of time for removal of timber from Maiorahia State forest on payment of £3.
G. Peace was granted extension of time for removal of timber from section 13, Block XIV., Russell, for 12 months, a l , £13 ground rent.
Macklow Brothers were granted three months' extension of time for removal of timber on Maungataniwha block on payment of £5 ground rent. An advance of £50 on house and fencing was granted to Geo. Glasscock, Kitchener Hamlet. Messrs. Eurle and Campbell applied, on benalf of Thomas Price, for permission to use or construct a tramway over Crown lands at Taumarunui. Permission was granted at a rental of £1 per annum, the lease to be granted from year to year. A number of applications for leases of land were considered and dealt with.
