Gallagher, who had ! kindly granted permission for their use. j Favoured with fine weather, and after a most , enjoyable drive down, the company were en- j tertained with light refreshments, and a. i programme of sports was started. Mr. E. ' Johnson, of Sargood, Son, and Ewen's, ably ; acted as starter, and the various events were J closely contested, the handicapping of Air. : H. G. Before departing homewards, the respected and popular employers were accorded a hearty vote of thanks for their liberality and kindness on this occasion, and hearty cheers were given for them, also for the visitors for their help in making the event such a success.
