AQUATICS.
AUCKLAND ROWING ASSOCIATION. THE above association held their first amiaal meeting at the Sports Club on Monday. There was a large attendance of members. Mr. Swinnerton, the chairman of the local association executive, took the chair. The report and balance-shiet were read and confirmed. The receipts for the season amounted to £10 14s 9d and expenditure to £16 5s sd. The election of officers resulted as- follows: — President, Mr. A. H. M.arriner; vice-presidents, the same as last year, with the addition or Mr. C. Grey. It was decided to hold the opening day on Saturday next, 17th Inst., with the usual procession of boats, to start at- half-past two p.m. Mr. Swinnerton was elected captain of the day. ' A motion was carried to hold three regattas during the coming season, the first to be held at Mercer on or about December 2; the second at the same place on January 29; and the third at Lake Takapuna early in March. A motion was brought forward to make a levy of so much a seat for each man that rows in regatta, crews, but it was finally decided to refer the matter back to the different clubs.
