It is officially reported from Darmstadt, where the Tsar and his family are staying, that owing to circumstances over which he has no control, His Majesty is obliged to postpone his visit to Italy.

(Received October 14, 1.3 a.m.) Home, October 13. In view of the fact that M. Nelidoff, the Russian Ambassador in Rome, approved of the arrangements and recommended the Tsar's visit, the postponement is interpreted to he the result of insufficient police protection and the threatened socialist demonstration.
