Wellington, Tuesday. Tito Land and Iricoirte Assessment Act Amendment Bill, which has been introduced, makes provision for a considerable increase in the graduated, land tax. There is also an increase in the case of absentee owners, and a provision in this Bill extending the provisions of the Land and Income Assessment Act as to the payment of income tax to foreign companies as well as. to companies registered in New Zealand.
