Amidst the many replies that we received there were some which failed to comply with one of the conditions, no label being attached. Others, although good, were unsuitable, as their theme was a comparison between our goods and those of our rivals. However flattering such were to us, we never decry our rivals' goods. Wo simply advertise our own. We might remind some of our witty contributors that " Poeta, naacitur non fit,", which for their benefit we translate, "The poetry that thev have made is non fit' for publication."
