LAND FOR SETTLEMENT.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—-PRESS ASSOCIATION.]
Wellington, Monday. The Minister tor Lands states that if arrangements for the acquisition of the Mount Vernon Estate, in Hawke-'s Bay, cannot be made with the owners, the question of price will have to be settled by the Compensation Court.
It is intended to endeavour to come to an agreement as soon as possible with the lessees oi. the Tamaki block, Dannevirke. of vW.uOt, ares, which will be thrown opei for settlement.
