[BY TELEGRAPH.—PBESS ASSOCIATION.]! :'■ WESEinrof on* Monday. ■ News has been received here that a man named Thomas ; Reid, a storekeeper at Mahgataihbka, was accidentally shot in the leg yesterday by Constable Sheary. The* injured man subsequently died in Pahiatua Hospital.

At the inquest a verdict of accidental death through shock and loss of blood was returned. The jury added a rider exonerating Constable Sheary.
