REPORT ; AND BALANCE-SHEET. ' [BT TELKGKAPH. ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Tuesday. The annual report hud balance-sheet of tie Assets Realisation Board were laid on the.' tablo "of the' House at half-past eleven to-night. The report shows that the business of the" Board in all departments hits been, satisfactory. Seasons, \ pastures, stock, and prices therefore have been good,' arid.consignments.afloat and unrealised at last annual balance have panned out to advantage, and with: a substantial surplus; over drafts. ~l Notwithstanding \ that, f owing to a heavy decline In the ,series of London wool sales anticipations were not realised. The result of- the year's working, ; ; apart from the special: £101,135 paid by the" bank in excess of the statutory £50,000, shows full : provision for payment of deben-■ ture interest,' and -a , clear; >surplus 7 of £19,660. The report goes on to state: — "It is satisfactory to be able to report that at March 31 the total amount of over- \ duo purchase \ money ; and interest; was. £3162 only,' and of this the principal item, £2600, was. paid within a few days. At. this time : there were no arrears, nor bad or doubtful debts, nor have we at any; time : had to take airy stringent measures to , compel .payment, thus proving the general prosperity; of our purchasers. We have riot had ;a : single case of failure to cany out purchases; The demand is fast increasing for land in the districts where the main portion of our''proper ties'V s lie.Realisations have been made, and continue, at values which are largely reducing the estimated deficiency.
